MainzIQ stores information you enter into the app, including vehicle data, service records, mileage, images and app settings. If you sign in with Google, your data is also securely stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore for backup and synchronization across devices.
We do not request or collect your name, contact list, location, or any information beyond what is needed for the Google Sign-In process itself (your Google account identifier and email address, used solely to link your synced data to your account).
MainzIQ uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage information, such as app launches, screen views and feature usage. This information helps us improve the app's quality, stability and overall user experience.
Firebase Analytics is not used for advertising, personalized marketing or user profiling. The content you store in MainzIQ, including your vehicles, service history, mileage, notes and photos, is never analyzed for analytics purposes.
MainzIQ does not currently use Firebase Crashlytics or any other crash-reporting service.
The information is used solely to provide the app's functionality, including vehicle management, maintenance history, statistics, exports and synchronization. For vehicles added using automatic lookup, MainzIQ may retrieve updated EU inspection information from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration once per day.
MainzIQ does not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Google Firebase is used for authentication, cloud storage and synchronization. When automatic vehicle lookup is used, the vehicle registration number is sent securely to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens vegvesen) public API to retrieve vehicle information.
Data is stored either locally on your device or securely in Firebase Cloud Firestore when synchronization is enabled. Communication with our cloud services is encrypted in transit. Although we use industry-standard security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.
When you sign in with Google, your vehicles, service history, mileage and other information are securely synchronized between your devices. Images may remain stored only on your device and are not necessarily included in cloud synchronization.
You can manage or delete your data at any time:
MainzIQ is not directed at children and has no specific age restriction for general use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of MainzIQ after changes have been published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
If you have any questions regarding privacy, data processing or wish to request deletion of your account or cloud data, please contact DZX Apps at Support@DZXapps.com.
